About Us

Tribal Voice Communications is a social enterprise, established in January 2004, carrying out Wildlife Conservation & Responsible Tourism consultancy. It uses its consultancy profits to deliver community and conservation initiatives in the developing world.

The aim of our company is to help make travel and tourism more responsible and to contribute to in situ wildlife conservation globally. In particular we seek to harness the power of tourism for wildlife conservation, the protection of fragile ecosystems and the enhancement of local peoples’ livelihoods in the developing world.

Tribal Voice is owned and managed by leading responsible tourism proponent Dr Cheryl Mvula who has been recognised for her personal contribution to responsible tourism through the Virgin Holidays Responsible Tourism Awards.

Tribal Voice’s business model is to work in partnership with other consultants when this is required to deliver multi-disciplined projects. Cheryl’s specialist areas include primate conservation, ecotourism, wildlife tourism, local community participation in tourism (for which she has been globally recognised for her ground breaking work with the Maasai tribe in Kenya) marketing and brand development. Senior Consultant Manny Mvula specialises in wildlife tourism and safari guide training.
